When I was 18, I weighed over 200 pounds and had terrible habits. I ate junk food and smoked daily, but I felt invincible so I didnât care.
little did I know that it would eventually start catching up to me.
I started having low energy levels & bad moods, and I felt terrible all the time. Then one day, I woke up one feeling like there was a 100 pound weight on top of my chest.
This lead me to discover fitness and nutrition. I realized how much food can impact my entire life.
I fell in love with food after that. I started studying it, and working at multiple fine dining restaurants further deepening my love for food, until a fateful day changed my perspective forever.
I was hanging out with my dad and I was cooking fatty-lamb shanks for him. In front of my eyes, he had a heart attack and I couldnât believe it.
Luckily he survived, but I realized it was due to his diet. That day, I was contributing to it. I made a vow to help extend peoples lives, not to shorten them.
I started focusing a lot more on the health side of food and became a registered nutritionist. I started working with athletes like Gary Roberts to help them perform better, move better, and become more effective at their sport.
Through fine-tuning their diet, we were able to help them achieve very optimal results. I figured, why does this need to be reserved for the top athletes? Why not let my city get a taste of this.
